Dining at "The Louvre": A Memorable Culinary Experience

 Our visit to The Louvre Abu Dhabi was already an enriching experience, but what made it even more special was the fine dining experience that followed. Since it was still Ramadan in the UAE, the atmosphere around the museum was peaceful and reflective—a perfect setting for an unforgettable evening

A Treat from the Heart

After exploring the museum’s incredible exhibits, my daughter Donna treated us to dinner at one of the finest restaurants in The Louvre. It was a thoughtful gesture that made the day even more memorable.

A Taste of Arabic Cuisine

The menu featured a variety of authentic Arabic dishes, from flavorful starters to a richly spiced main course. I must admit, I’ve never been particularly fond of Arabic cuisine, but this time, I was pleasantly surprised. The dishes were delicious, aromatic, and beautifully presented, making me appreciate the unique flavors of Middle Eastern cooking.

A Chilly but Cozy Experience

Since the restaurant had an open-air setting, the cool evening breeze made us feel a little chilly. But thanks to the attentive restaurant staff, we were given warm shawls to keep us comfortable while we enjoyed our meal. It was a small yet thoughtful gesture that added to the overall warmth of the experience.

That evening at "The Louvre" Abu Dhabi was not just about good food—it was about family, culture, and new experiences. Moments like these remind me why I love exploring the world and sharing these beautiful stories.

Andrei Shines in Soccer: A Proud Grandparent Moment

 One of the joys of being a grandparent is witnessing the passions and talents of our grandchildren come to life. My husband and I recently had the chance to watch our grandson Andrei play in the Soccer Inter-Community Competition in Dubai. It was an exciting experience, and I couldn't be prouder of him!

A Rising Young Athlete

At just 12 years old, Andrei is full of energy and determination on the field. Watching him play on a real football ground in Dubai was a proud moment for us. He moves aggressively, showing skill and confidence beyond his years. Despite the cold and chilly weather that day, his enthusiasm never wavered—he was focused, driven, and truly in his element.

This isn’t his first time excelling in soccer. Back in the Philippines, he played for the Cavite City Football Team, where he scored an impressive three goals in one of his matches. His love for the sport is undeniable, and I see great potential in him as an athlete.

Passion, Discipline, and Balance

What makes me even prouder is Andrei’s ability to balance both academics and his passion for soccer. Seeing him in his complete soccer uniform and cleats, playing his heart out, is a reminder of how important it is to support our children in both their studies and their dreams.

A Heartwarming Visit to Dubai: Family, Celebrations, and Adventures

Dubai has been our home for work, but this time, my husband and I experienced it in a different way—through the joy of family, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Our two-month visit was filled with celebrations, adventures, and precious time with our children and grandchildren.

A Special Birthday Celebration

One of the highlights of our stay was celebrating my daughter Irish Joy’s birthday on February 21. It was a beautiful gathering filled with love, music, and amazing food. We sang our hearts out on karaoke and indulged in a delicious feast catered especially for the occasion. Seeing her happy and surrounded by loved ones made the day even more special.

Fishing and Bonding by the Water

Dubai isn’t just about skyscrapers and luxury—it also offers beautiful spots for relaxation and bonding. We had a fantastic time fishing at Jadaf Bridge and Dubai Creek with my daughters Donna, April, and Irish. There’s something so peaceful about being by the water, sharing stories, and waiting for that perfect catch. It’s moments like these that make family time priceless.

Cherishing Time with My Grandchildren

Nothing compares to the joy of being with my grandchildren, Travis and Trevor. Whether it was playing, sharing stories, or simply watching them grow, every moment was precious. My daughter-in-law, Joanna, made sure we were well-fed with delicious homemade lunches and dinners that brought us all together.

One of the most heartwarming moments was when my granddaughter Jamee hosted a live audio session, playfully asking me and my husband funny and slightly personal questions to get to know us better. It was a beautiful way to connect, reminisce, and create lasting memories.

As a lover of history and art, I couldn’t miss the chance to visit The Louvre Abu Dhabi. Walking through its grand halls, admiring historical and architectural masterpieces, was an enriching experience.
